    Please note there is some discoloration on the handle on the one side there is also a little bit of discoloring that is clearly visible on the other side as well this is definitely a vintage piece that was used. The hook part which appears to be some sort of metal definitely is showing some age and his Rusty around the Hook area and leading into the hook.
    A nice vintage piece to go with beautiful antique clothing or antique ladies or men’s shoes. A buttonhook for buttoning was used before the invention of the button. I am not sure as to the material of the handle whether it is plastic I doubt that it is bone
