This battery is a new manufactured battery with the same specifications as the old battery.  It is manufactured by the same company that is manufacturing the batteries for the new remotes DEI(Viper, Python, and Clifford) has come out with. This is a three wire battery.

(the picture just shows the remote that the battery will fit into, 4 buttons on the front with a color LCD)........this battery will fit into your Viper 7941 Remote, without modification.  If your remote has stopped working then it is usually the rechargeable battery that has gone bad.  Rechargeable batteries  can only be recharged so many times before they fail.
Buyer accepts all responsibility for taking apart there own remote.  seller is not responsible for the buyer breaking there remote in the process of removing or installing the battery.  I have a service were you can send me your remote and I will install it for you. View my other items for sale.
Things I have noticed repairing these remotes.  If your remote does not charge through the usb connector then it needs to be cleaned (with the battery disconnected).  Also I have seen corrosion on the power connector on the opposite side of the battery this also needs to be cleaned (It will draw the battery down faster, shorter battery life).  Also leaving the remote out in the car on a hot summer day will kill the battery.
